Renewed Success - & question was created by Little Miss Sunshine
Hello B&W,

My ESA & PIP has been successfully renewed! In about four weeks. And I am in support group! Thank you so much for advice about addresses.

I have a quick question though I have been given PIP until 2021. But in my letter It states I have been given it for a longer period this time and at same levels high. But I was awarded for 3 years last time. It still 3 years.

I like everyone on here are unwell and the paperwork ontop of illnesses can be a complete nightmare. I am very grateful for my award. However wanted to ask if it is stated I am being given it for longer but on paper its still 3 years do you think I should question the date or not. I am just grateful but feel as they mentioned themselves the award will be for longer this time and it is not same could I ask about it. A few more years not having to fill the nightmare paper work would be so welcome.I get very unwell trying to complete it in two tight deadlines weeks etc... I do appreciate illnesses and circumstances can change. I also feel so much for those who have to do reconsideration and tribunals and such.

Any advice would be appreciated! Thank you so much for all your help!

You can try contacting the Decision Maker but I am not sure you will have much success, these letters are often a copy/paste exercise and it is more than likely that the DM will say it is a clerical error and that the correct award length has been made.
