Hello Gordon

We have just received the copy of the F2F assessment for my son. There are 2 main inconsistencies I can see.
Under medication it states no side effects (although we said otherwise) then in the next section it says 25% extra time due to cognitive issues as a result of medication.
Dress, it states can use aids, but we don't have any for dressing and in the muscular skeletal section it states unable to lift right or left arm fully and in the functional history section for dressing it says needs help and struggles to dress and undress upper and lower body, no mention of aids.

My son was awarded 2 points for the dressing as it says he uses aids, however because another section says needs help for lower body am I justified in asking for a MR?
I am just worried about losing everything.

Thanks

Oh I should also say that the muscular skeletal review talks about lower body being in normal range when an examination didn't take place beyond trying to move arms as my son was into much pain.

Not having an aid is not a reason to score higher, you will need to show that even if a suitable aid is available that your son would not be able to use it, there are a list of the aids that might be used for Dressing and Undressing in the PIP Claim guide.

Most of the tests done for PIP are very basic and not conclusive, I would certainly mention your concerns about the tests that were done but don't expect it to have any significant impact at an MR, you will need to show a significant error in the assessor's report to overturn the Decision at MR, an appeal panel will be more flexible.
