SUCCESSFUL PIP APPEAL MENTAL HEALTH was created by oppidan
Went from Lower rate daily living to Enhanced Rate and got an extra year.
The judge acknowledged that I am significantly limited by reason of my Borderline Personality Disorder and Complex PTSD and set aside the DWP's original decision.
Without the support of Benefits and Work I would never have found the courage to go to a Tribunal. Being understood and believed by the Tribunal Judge has been wonderfully affirming.

So so pleased for you. Well done for sticking with it and appealing,
My journey has just started unfortunately. I'm waiting for my MR to come back but getting ready to appeal. I went from highest mobility component since 2009 wit low care to highest mobility to highest care in 2015, this was awarded till April 2019, April this year they asked to review, came to hose to asses me and now taken away mobility completely and lowered care to basic level, lied on the assessment and even omitted some of the inf completely. Ignored my letters sent from consultants with diagnosis etc on

Hello Pam thank you for your kind message. Have faith and hang on in there. I wish you the best of luck. My face to face assessment report was a pack of incorrect statements and observations which bore no relation to the truth and made it clear that none of my supporting evidence had been read. The mandatory reconsideration report was just as offensive in it's blatant disregard for my evidence and the facts - it referred to my 'muscular skeletal problems' when I was applying on the grounds of a mental health diagnosis. it also stated that I wasn't awarded points because I was intelligent, knew what was going on and could answer to my name!!! I didn't supply any fresh evidence to my tribunal but simply directed them to the relevant points in my evidence and pointed out the DWP's errors and won my case. I nearly gave up because it felt horrible to be disbelieved and I felt the DWP were trying to say I was a fraud. The whole culture of the DWP is as deliberately hostile as the Home Office's culture. I am ashamed to belong to a country who treats its vulnerable citizens in this way. Good luck to you.
