Exempt from reassessment? was created by Gareth56
If since ones last ESA assessment the DWP has brought in the Serious Condition Criteria to exempt one from further ESA assessments will you have to undergo another ESA assessment to ascertain whether you qualify for the exemption? Or will the DWP look at your previous ESA assessment and decide whether you need to have another at your review date?

In other words if, 3 years ago, you were placed into the SG (for 3 years) and your condition matches the criteria given in the guidance i.e lifelong, no prospect of recovery, etc. and your review date is coming up in the near future will you, based on your previous assessment 3 years ago, be exempt from this and future reassessments?

Hope that make sense.

Yes, there would need to be a further assessment, of course, this does not necessarily mean a face to face assessment.
