ATOS are wonderful............. was created by clivelate
Hi, i claimed for Pip, I had my interview recently and today got the PA4 report.

It seems after suffering mental health issues for 25 years and my health getting worst and worst ATOS have fixed all of my issues within 1 and a half hours of being in there care, how wonderful they are.

I wish I would have seen them earlier, so I Would no longer be on sickness benefits, and go out to work, but now all is good,so claim ATOS.

I can now leave the house, I can take my medication myself without my family giving it to me, i can cook and peel vegetables without my family telling me im not safe to do so, and i will no longer leave the gas coming out of the hob when the flame hasn't been lit, the list goes on and on.

Based on this site, I should get enhanced support for one section, and normal for the other, but I scored zero points.

I cant yet appeal as the DWP haven't made there decision yet, but I know what is coming.

Is there anything I can do at this time, or do i have to wait for a letter telling me I cant have the PIP benefit.

I'm lucky, I have a good support network around me, and I will be going to court if needed (done this 3 times already with ESA and won all 3), but the main point of this thread is to all let you know how wonderful ATOS are, they can cure all disabilities it seems within a few hours, who needs the NHS when ATOS are around.

Thanks

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

There is a narrow window for you to write to the Decision Maker with your concerns about the report, try and stick issues that lead to your scoring points, if you do decide to tackle the assessor's opinions head on then do it be referring to your evidence.

If you do write to them, then make it clear that you are not requesting a Mandatory Reconsideration at this time.

Hi there,

Just to say I was in the same situation. Zero points after a really dodgy assessor reported that there was nothing wrong with me.

I disputed the decision, still zero points, then MR and the DWP saw sense and awarded me 12 points for mobilty and 9 points for the daily living component.

Please believe that all is not lost,

Good luck.

Today my father and myself wrote a letter to the DWP and we told them we would like that report squashed as it is totally incorrect and is full of errors etc, im not sure it will do any good if m honest, however as my father said, if you do this, then you can prove in court i tried to get that report removed, if the judge asked if i was so unhappy why didnt i compain to the DWP it would of looked good, so we have now done this, and while i dont really want to go though all of this again, if i have to then i will do another face to face interview.

We also wrote a very strongly worded letter to atos, about the nurse and the standard of the report, again, i cant see that helping either,, but for the same reasons as above, we also did this.

Im now trying to chill, as there is nothing else now i can do, if they use the report, we have already filled in the MR letter detailing where the points we didnt get, should of been awarded.

I will be seeing my GP this week, but as i may have said, she will help but only on fact, now as she dont live with me, or is out and about with me, im not sure how she is going to be able to comment.

That is encouraging as I have written up my MR letter today but was told last week that most MR's fail. I had zero points. I wouldn't describe the report wording as inaccurate as such (!) but the points didn't match the comments! And on the important and relevant sections there were closed questions and a move on quickly approach! Fingers crossed for me too.
