Hi there

In a call to DWP yesterday, I asked when my next PIP renewal/application would be sent to me.
The gentlemen answered that it would be the end of January. I was awarded a 3 year award in late April 2017.

I knew that meant 2 years in reality but it seems that it actually meant 1 year and 9 months, which is closer to half the award they said they gave me.

Does this sound correct? I was so shaken by this I couldn't get the words out to push for more information at the time

Thanks for reading

I would not expect you to receive the reassessment form until April of next year.

Thanks very much for yr reply Gordon.

I asked my carer to dig the award letter out - on page 2 it states:

"We will also contact you while you're getting PIP to se if your need have changed and to look at the amount you get. This will be after XX April 2019"

I must have assumed that was DWP doublespeak, maybe the gentleman I spoke to did too.

Tx again

Hi, I was reassessed with F2F in July with the actual decision letter received in October and award (as I had an increase) back dated to April. Mine was a 2 year award but clearly said to July 2020 and reassessment would be in July 2019......so effectively a 9 month award from the date of the decision letter/a year from F2F !. No wonder they are so slow at dealing with everything if they are reassessing so quickly!

I'm in a similar situation myself. Received AR1 form in March, face-to-face in August, decision letter arrived beginning of November (although dated end of October) awarding PIP until February 2021, with the award backdated to March this year. As it is, on paper anyway, a 3-year award, review will most likely take place in February 2020, which means that in reality, it's a 15-month award. It's just ridiculous the way they work these things out.
