TOPIC: Medical assessment

Medical assessment 7 years 9 months ago #13684

  • tapsy2901
I heard today from DLA that despite a very negative ATOS medical assesssment that I could walk 400 metres etc and that I had no severe disabilities. My DLA was remaining at what it has been for nearly 10 years HIGH/HIGH/life award.
My problem started when someone from DLA destryoed my entire file leaving no paper trial as to why my award was initailly given. The along came ATOS who despite being showen medical eveidence, ignored it and came to there own conclusions. I have reported them [ no I am not holding my breath] neither will I quit though. The whole episode left me so ill I was hospitalised this week - twice and am now on O2 at home - I hope tempoarrily?
Some at DLA have common sense and are not listneing to ATOS - thank god so like me if it scared the heck out of you - perservere and don't take any nonesense, hope fully it will all come right
