TOPIC: Font settings and new threads.

Font settings and new threads. 7 years 4 months ago #14499

Can I ask members to use the default font settings in posts, and also not to start a new thread where there is already an existing one dealing with the same subject, unless there is good reason to make a change.

In the latter case, if a new thread is started with an existing one already in place, this causes confusion for both members and moderators. Furthermore, in order for moderators to subsequently merge posts, this requires a trawl through literally hundreds of posts in order to effect the merger.

Your cooperation is appreciated in this matter.

Just to say that I agree with Crazydiamond 100%.

If there is an existing thread on pretty much the same topic, then please just reply to this topic rather than start a new thread, for the reasons that CD has stated.

As CD has stated, starting a new thread when there is an existing one already in place, can cause confusion for both members and moderators, and cause us a lot of work in trying to merge a new thread with one with an identical name, or very similar, to ensure members are not confused.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in helping us to make Benefits and Work Forums as easily as possible for members to use.
