DLA / Mobility was created by Peter
Hi Everyone,

I get my Old Age Pension next month, last year I was awarded low rate care & highest rate mobility, (for no fixed period) I was awarded 30% Industrial Injuries 15years ago for life.
Question, do I loose these benefits on my 65th birthday or do they carry on until reviewed? I am reluctant to ring DHSS for advice.
Thanks in advance for your comments.

Your DLA entitlement will continue beyond your 65th birthday indefinitely unless you become subject to the Right Payment Programme, which randomly samples the correctness of DLA awards.

Insofar as your entitlement to Industrial Injuries Benefit arises, this is beyond the remit of this forum as we are only able to give information in relation to disability living allowance, attendance allowance, the personal capability assessment used in connection with incapacity benefits, and the work capability assessment used in connection with employment and support allowance.

These are the only subjects on which we can provide reliable information.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems
