More help please! was created by RachelPotter
I have just got back from my local CAB and am really upset and worried. The advisor I saw was lovely, however I was told that because I have got to the appeal stage on my own, they can't help me. They said that had I gone when I had received my ESA50, they could of helped and basically, because I have filled that in unfavourably then there's nothing they can do to help. Please advsie cos I really don't know who else to ask for help!

Hi Fedup, In what sense have you filled it in unfavourably? I am assuming you just told the truth, but perhaps did not tell enough of it? Have you had a date for your appeal?

Hi Rachel

That's not good, althought I've had the same problem with mine in that they have told me they won't come out to my home to discuss things and I can't get to them, unless someone takes a day off work, because of my sight problems, and that they won't represent me. I did however type this in my search bar:-

"representation at an appeal tribunal"

Putting the area I live in at the end and I have found a lady at the Tribunal and Appeals Service who will come out to my home and I can contact via the internet or through the post, it was just what I needed. Perhaps you could try this too?

Pusscat :)

Rachel, Definitely try to find your local Welfare Rights Benefits Unit. I found myself in the same position with my local CAB. However, Welfare Rights via the Council were a great support and help. Do some research...your council will probably have a unit or something similar.
Good luck....
