gp says no atos say yes was created by incap99
my gp gave me a letter, stating i will be unable to attend a medical next week, due to mental health propblems.

this letter was gave to dwp who faxed it to atos

phone call comes from atos stating that they are unable to cancel the appontment for the medical, and if i fail to attend a letter would be sent to me asking for what reasons i did not attend the medical, they said my benifit could still be stopped for not attending even though they have a letter stating from my gp i am unable to attend.

what regulation would allow them to stop my benifit for non attendance, even though they have a letter from my gp stating i will be unable to attend?

Forgive me if this is a stupid question, but have you confirmed that your local ATOS office is in receipt of the GP's letter?
