it is very crippling but it is good for the fresh air, blood curculation, and i suppose stop my joints ceasing up.got my appeal coming up soon has anybody got any good advise for me,

Hi,

To be honest it is very difficult to give information without access to all case papers etc, hence obtaining specific face to face advice would probably be your best course of action.

See this link on where to obtain such advice:

How can I get individual help with a specific benefits problem?

Hi Bobbie,

As Pete says, you definitely need to try to get face-to-face advice about this.

The situation you're in is sadly a common one, where the DWP jump to conclusions based on partial evidence.

And yes you are allowed to get exercise and it makes very good sense to do so. I definitely wouldn't feel defensive about this, you have every right to feel angry about the way you have been treated.

Good luck with your appeal,

Steve

I can empathise with you , I had my dla stopped too, I believe it is because I can go to work – they changed my renewal (from what I wrote )not being able to walk 40 to 100 then after the ATOS doctor visited I suddenly could walk 200?- in their opinion.

The truth is I cannot put any weight through my legs without immediate pain leading to being rendered incapable after short distances. I have reflex sympathetic dystrophy although there is no cure for my condition the doctors have told me that walking and physical activity is essential to my well being and working is essential to my mental health.
Is catch 22.

I am due to have major surgery in two weeks time to lift my knees and give me new ligaments. Due to the fact I will be in plaster for four months with a nice metal cadge holding me immobile, it will aggravate my reflex sympathetic dystrophy so by the time my appeal is due I will be in a right mess.

I have already been told the situation I will be in is irrelevant to the appeal because they will be looking at the situation I was in at that time.
My only argument is if it wasn’t so bad why did the consultant want to operate?

At present it appears that your dammed if you can and dammed if you cant.
