IB to ESA was created by ejay1001
Hi new to forum, my wife is due IB review today so don't know if she will recieve IB50 or new ESA form.
After reading the forum I wanted to know if placed in the WRAG how much money would she loose? she has been on IB for 15 years and recieves IS and SDA, usually has an PCA approx every 3 years.
She suffers with arthritis which affects all her joints and recieves HRM MRC DLA which was awarded indefinatley in 1996 although i know this is due to change in 2013,
I don't know if she will loose premiums ect, we recieve HB and CT and i am her full time carer, Thanks

We can't comment on whether you will be worse off or the same with so many benefits involved, however, the following link explains the process and might give you some understanding of how your payments might be affected.

DLA won't be affected, and if she gets premiums (enhanced, severe - probably not the latter if you're not also on DLA), these won't change.

However, the basic amounts will be different.

HB and CT won't be affected because either wa(IR) premiums substituting for IS premiums) which passports to HB and CTB.

If her ESA is lower, she will continue to get her current rate of IB but without annual increases until it drops to the rate of ESA.

That will give you time to get a full calculation of your benefits from somewhere like the CAB which can go through and make sure that you're on the right rates and getting the right premiums.

But as Gordon says, we can't give you the full picture of how this will affect you.
