Incapacity Benefit new rules those near retiring a

HELLO
I have been a member of B&W for 3 years and this is my first post on the forum.

I am 64 years old and have been on benetits for 6 years now I am on. I suffer with ME, fibromyalgia
and panic attacks. I am in receipt of Incapacity Benefit, DLA Lower Rate Care and Higher Rate Mobility. All my awards have been made indefinite.
I have read lots of articles recently and do not understand how all these changes are going to affect me over the next year.
Could some explain how the new changes are going to affect me. I did read somewhere that I would not see any changes until I reach 65 but I think this may have been someone's opinion. Is there a good website that spells it out simply.

Because you are due to retire next year, the change to ESA from IB shouldn't affect you.

The changes to DLA were originally announced as being in 2014, but the government is still looking at what changes to make and has not given a definite date. There is more information about the latest news on DLA in the members' news section (bottom right of home page).

General query here please on this topic

Due to the possible delay in migrating all over onto ESA along with the foolish idea of trying to re-assess all DLA claimants could there be any chance at all they may extend the 'age range' for those nearing retirement as the system (hopefully) falls apart.

It's anybody's guess, the speed at which they're changing things.
