new esa rules 2011/2012.

Hi all seasons greetings. If you have been on esa for over a year on april 2011 does the one year and your out rule start then! ie; at april 2012 you are means tested. many thanks Rap.

Hi Rappa,
if in receipt of CB ESA in the WRAG
(as am I) with a working partner(in excess of 24hrs per week or earning in excess of 102 pounds weekly) or You have in excess of 16k in the bank April 2012 is the proposed cut off date.
In the event however, You are in receipt of IB ESA or alternatively if You can achieve ESA Support group status no panic.

Most laws not just benefit would start the clock ticking from 1st April 2011 thus giving you till 2012, that said if they have decided to use another date that would be set out in the regulations, its normaly only when closeing tax loop holes they back date laws or where people are going to be made better off
