Thanks for all the replies. It's nice to have the support.

I have the guide and have filled in the GL24 today.

It is a bit overwhelming after being believed for so long to be almost called a liar is difficult to take.

Also for anyone due for a medical in Aberdeen the assessment centre has moved from directly opposite a bus terminal and train station making it easily accessable, to the top end of Union Street which is all double yellow lines and no parking within 500 metres except about 6 side street spaces which are invariably full and no disable parking making it nearly impossible to park near to the centre.

Train and bus are now 3/4 of a mile away from the test centre or a 15 minute walk for an able bodied person.

Hi, I scored 0 points at my medical as well. On the same day I had another medical with a top doctor who deals with ill health retirement. I was assessed by 2 dr who both said i was not fit to work and finished me on Permanent ill health retirment . I have a very rare, life threatening disease and have iv infusions every 14days and have to travel to manchester for my check ups. I have now got the MPS society and my local MP involved. As for a copy of your medical report, I think they gave me someone elses because it didnt say what i said and what all my medical evidence said.
I have not had a date for my tribunal yet but hope it is soon.
Good luck

I think it is appalling that people with severe conditions are forced to endure lengthy appeals, especially when there is up to date supportive medical evidence in place at the time of the medical.

To be considered ill enough for medical retirement in the morning and fit for work with 0 points in the afternoon really is ridiculous. Susan I cannot understand why the decision-maker failed to carry out a proper reconsideration to save you the distress of an appeal.

Let's hope you all eventually end up in the support group or main-phase ESA - whichever one feels right for you.

Best wishes

Hi thanks for your reply,
The nurse was not interested , i had all the info on Fabrys disease infront of her and she said she had not read it but would pass it on. I am on high rate DLA and passed with info from my consultants and GP, no medical. My local MP is helping me now but has a filing cabnet full of other peoples appeals. Its mad, why dont they filter through and place people in to different sections, eg serious disease to back injuries ect.
