i am sorry about your WCA agony and humiliation, i have this to come.

you may find a community advice service near you
as they helped me with an appeal for a previous PCA;
i was glad for the help though it was still agony.

politically, the new administration is trying to break welfare dependency
but if like me you have recurrent (mental) illness then some dependency is to be expected.
then there's this idea that we will all regenerate ourselves: take up our couches and walk,
a new life off welfare dependency and into work
organisationally you are dealing with systems and structures, management and control
easy to feel lost or trapped inside that.
i hope you soon regain your dignity and faith in others
good wishes, pip, grimsby

Hooray, I got it, what an experience, now on the NHS scrapheap my job went due to incapability on sickness grounds, one door closes another opens, well once my head is back in action properly! B)
Thankyou this website one and all, it is down to the guides that I was able to fill in forms properly and truthfully without feeling compromised, I have learned a lot through this whole sorry process.
Anyway DLA next stop, again the guide to claiming is brilliant now my head is working enough to follow it :silly:
Ive never been so embarassed and agonised about being unwell, what sort of society is being sold, big society sickness bashing en mass directed towards anyone not in employment, experienced it with my own two eyes, its shamefull and disgraceful, they should try being unwell, losing your job and having to claim benefits and see how it feels!! ( not to mention losing my marbles in the process).
Thankyou one and all for your helpful and supportive comments and giving me space to rant a bit    :silly:

:woohoo: I got ESA but Im not sure what group Im in, I think its the support group.
 I also applied for DLA using the advice given on here and got awarded lower rate which I will challenge, however thanks for all the advice on here, its been helpful and makes you realise you are not alone in this farcical attempt to receive some benefit when life comes up against you!
The whole system is not inclusive or supportive or accessible especially when we are not firing on all cylinders. When did benefit bashing get popular, I suspect many will be cringing when they lose their jobs and end up on the public services scrapheap, and, trying to live on benefits long term. Add a chronic condition into the picture and see where your resilience and determination takes you too - in my case a pond bottom crawler still trying to emerge out of the depths with some scraps of hope and the occasional glimpse of the sun on my journey back to gaining a gold star for being economically active
As for financial benefits, dont even go there, oh I can now have a bus pass :side: thats really helpful with anxiety, depression and major avoidance
Oh well, had yet another rant from my ESA bubble B)
