No good I phoned the carers allowance and a very nice lady said ' Stop there, its stressing you out. I am going to send you out a carers form you fill it in and send it back then call up income support top up team and they will give you a top up benefit and then you can call esa up and stop the claim with them ok'

I cried with relief so thats what I'm going to do. ESA do not care about people just like atos. I kept getting them telling me you must fill in the form, you must fill in the form. The ruddy form is stressing me out so much I would sooner starve than go through that again. :(

I have tried but it doesn't make any sense. My Dr even gave me extra tablets because of the extra stress its causing.

I feel for everyone out there fighting. I just can't do it anymore.

When you have a mental Health problem they should be supportive and understanding but all they have done is make matters worse.

Good luck everyone else. I know you will need it.

I have to say my experience of the call centres is not great either. No one seems to know what they're talking about, they deny things exist or just lie to you about your entitlement!

Phone up the FREE advice line, you can find it on the direct gov site, they were much better for me and seemed to know what they were talking about. It can also be anonymous so you don't need to give your name/details etc. Just advice, I think it's much better than the official ESA lines that's for sure!!!!

Hi Dodgy Parrot,

I had a lot of trouble sorting out the home medical appointment time for ESA, and in the end, because I too have problems with phone calls (mainly, that they're largely inacessble to me, but they wouldn't allow anyone to speak for me and there was no time to deal with it in writing), I asked to speak to the complaints dept. I was also in tears by then, exhausted and deeply frustrated: the person in complaints was really, really nice, over-ruled the customer service [sic] person, sorted it all out, and even phoned me back to make sure it had been done properly. So maybe it's worth asking for the phone no. of the complaints section for the DWP or Jobcentre, or whomever you have been talking too?

Good luck,

regards
Rainbowlight
