dla and ib was created by bal42
am on incapacity benefit and dla due to 5 illnesses. for one illness recieved surgergical treatmentthree months ago now feel some improvement in that particular illness.do i need to report this as
change of circumstances. this limited improvement i feel may effect some care needs but for ib i still feel improvement is not enough for me to cope with any work. if i report to dla only, am i doing
the right thing or do i have to inform ib department as well. any advice or sugession please.

Whilst it is great that you have seen some improvement as a result of your surgery I would be tempted to wait perhaps as long as 6 months after surgery before reporting any changes to the DWP to ensure that the improvement you have seen is lasting and is not subject to fluctuations.

In general terms you are required to report "relevant changes" which could include the fact that you have had a surgical procedure that has resulted in an improvement in your condition overall.

With regard to IB, I would suggest that you wait until you are reviewed under ESA migration.

i read somewhere on dwp guide 3-4 months is reasonable time for recovery after this kind of surgery so i am confused any comments from a moderator
