To date does anyone know how the dwp are dealing with the migration to IB is is based on letter in alapabet, assessment date or what? Someoone on here is being assessed 12 months beofre their date, so someone due in april 2012 could be assessed now then? How are they working it out week by week? What about the exempt pca are they starting on those yet? Scared well you know as we all are.

There has been no change to the information publicly available, that IB claimanst will be moved by re-assessment date, those who are PCA exempt will be moved early and those that receive Income Support for ill health or SDA will be moved last.

That said, the DWP need to maintain a steady stream on transfers to avoid peaks and troughs, so we should expect some people to be called earlier and some later than expected.

Hi Jasmine

I have waited since Oct 2010 for a renewal pack to fall through my door and I am claiming IB.

I cant find my original award letter, but I swear blind that I was awarded for three years until Oct 2010.

My friend who is due for renewal next year, received her questionaire in the post earlier this week and it left me with the same questions as yourself.

So, I rang the benefits office and had a nice long chat with a lovely lady who told me that on her system I am not due for renewal until May 2012!! So I basically spent the last 7 months worrying for nothing really.

So it appears, that my renewal could come through any day and I did ask her which way they were working, was it alphabetical like you asked. She said no, they are working by area. There is no firm logical order to how they are recalling people for re-assessments etc.

She did say a year that they have to complete all of this by, but it evades me at the moment but it was something far off like 2018.

I hope this helps a little

Tats

2018 ??? That's a first to me - I thought it was to be all done by 2013. There is an election before 2018

Well, I'm really confused now. My renewal date was June 1010 and I had been moved forward month by month till March this year. Now it's May and I'm still getting my money like usual but have not had the brown letter yet and it's nearly a year past my date. My surname starts with S so if they're doing it alphabetically then I may be near the end of the list. Knowing my luck it'll come tomorrow now :(

I've actually gone back to IB after being ESA after I won my appeal recently. I was told it could be anything from a few weeks to a a couple of years. It's interesting that Tattie was told a date, I will call in the future and see if there is one for me as I find not knowing when I have to go for another medical quite stressful.
