Hi Pat/Crazydiamond

I completely accept the moderator perogative to decide which items are published..however, quotin from the latest newsletter

"NEW FEATURE
We’d also be interested to hear what you know for a new feature on the site.

As you’re probably aware, one of the forums – the one that discusses benefits news - is still closed in order to relieve pressure on moderators. But we do realise that this means that members are missing out on the many fascinating news items that used to be posted there.

So we’ve set up a new feature called Stop Press.
www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/stop-press

It’s simply a page which uses our new comments feature – which proved extremely popular with readers of our DLA cuts article –

www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/news/members-o...l-lose-out-under-pip

to allow members to post benefits related news items. So, if you’ve got news we haven’t reported, please let us have it! And if you want to keep up with all the benefits news, we hope Stop Press will be the place you turn to first. "

...I thought my two items about Steve Cram and Claire Debenham, met the criteria for benefits related news that would have been allowed in the old discussion form?

Oh well...

Best Wishes, keep up the good work!
Toggz

Have you been told that they won't be published?

Hi Survivor

I posted the Steve Cram item last night and the Claire Debenham item earlier today. When I queried in this forum why neither items had appeared in the 'Stop Press' section, Pat and CrazyDiamond said there was no trace of anything awaiting moderation there?

Further, it might be they didn't meet the criteria of 'benefits related news' which I would of course dispute, whilst still accepting the moderator perogative to decline publication when a fine line is drawn..

(main part of message deleted by moderator as it has become discussion)

Should I try reposting both items in 'STOP PRESS' once more?

Thankz
Toggz

This is not the place to be entering into debates about the content of news stories, so I have removed the main part of your message, but I have left the rest because I think that it will help others if I reply to it.

The Stop Press feature is new and is still bedding in. Please bear with us whilst any bugs in the system are removed.

I'll draw to Steve's attention the fact that posts have apparently disappeared into the ether, and find out whether we will be notifying people when we don't publish stuff or whether we need to make it clear that we won't.

Thank you for your patience.

No Problem Survivor...

...and thanks once more...for YOUR patience..

Kind Regards
Toggz

(Sorry Toggz, I've removed your other stuff. I know it seems a bit heavy, but we've agreed to be quite strict about not letting this become a discussion forum. Survivor.)

It would appear that the 'missing' posts have now been published in the Stop Press section?
