Anybody receiving ESA should expect to be re-assessed on a regular basis, typically every 6-12 months.

I cannot understand why the DWP/Atos believe that continuously repeating the WCA for claimants with long-standing chronic illnesses/disabilities which will never improve, is supposed to serve any useful purpose?

Perhaps the words 'nuisance value' sum up the position in these circumstances, with an insatiable desire to cause further unnecessary distress for claimants.

I wonder why I am being so cynical?

there is somewhere on here or disability net an item on how often people will be reviewed on PIP it explains why its a waste of time and money to keep re testing certain people as it would be stress full and they wont get better, it even says why some who are not that ill would still be a waste of time as its well known there wont be any change in how sick/well they are :)

During the Select Committee investigation when ATOS were called to answer questions they stated that they are paid 'per assessment'.

Which IMO answers the question as to why the never let go.....

all available on the Parliament channel :)
