ESA - Work related activity group & sick notes?

I have been in the support group for ESA for 3 years now and I have recently been re-assessed, I have not yet been put into a group but when I spoke to a gentleman on the phone he said if I get put in the work related activity group I have to start providing sick notes again?
Does anyone know if this is the case?
I provided sick notes at the beginning when I applied for ESA but do you need to provide them if you are in the work related activity group?
Any help would be very much appreciated!

It turns out the gentleman mis-informed me about a few things, I just wanted to double check on this as it was worrying me
