No Forms or letter!! was created by Angela Winwood
I am on IB longterm. I broke my back, pelvis, hip and femur which left me with severe nerve damage. I am pinned, plated and wired! I have never had a medical since my accident in 1996. I fill the forms (thanks to B&W)every few years. I have not heard anything from anyone regarding ESA and the new changes. Does anyone know how long it takes before we are notified? Or is it a case of seeing to the new claimants before getting to the longterm claimants?

I'm afraid that the date when you will be contacted about your eventual transfer to ESA is anybody's guess at the present time?

There was some speculation that IB claimants who were previously exempt from the PCA would be transferred first, but there is no firm evidence that this is in fact happening. What the DWP have confirmed however, is that claimants of IB and IS on the grounds of disability will be transferred when their review date is due. This may be recorded on the last letter following your last PCA for IB purposes.

If the DWP did not record a date on the letter, it is impossible to say when you will be transferred to ESA mainly due to the fact that the DWP appear to be unsure themselves or at least they are not divulging the information, hence causing further undue worry for claimants who will be subject to the migration process.

Thank you so much. From what I can remember my next review was due 2012/13. I am on so much pain medication, morphine etc that my memory is pretty poor.
I think, as you say, it's a case of just waiting... and hoping!
My doctor is fantastic so I may, if need be, get him to write on my behalf also.

My IB review was some time back and I've not 'yet' recieved my ESA form for migration.

It really is a case of sit and wait.

Hi, i had not had medical since 2006, suffered heart attck, angina, asthma. I have knee probs and bipolar.

I didnt expect anything recieved brown letter last week saying they will ring, and send form. I was gutted.

I was supposed to have review last year, so maybe that is why i will get the form next week.
