Migration from Incapacity Benefit to ESA

I am being in the process of being migrated from Incapacity to ESA. At my last medical in 2005 (mental health problems), I was told I didnt have to provide medical certificates any more.

Do you think I might avoid an ESA medical because of this, because I really cant face it. I am sending in medical evidence.

Is there still a possibility I might fail to get ESA?

Thank you

Hi nada678

I'm afraid all claimants who pass the medical are told that they do not need to send in medical certificates. Medical certificates are only required prior to being assessed or whilst appealing.

There is always a possibility that any claimant will be denied ESA but equally there is also every chance that you will be awarded ESA and depending on your level of disability, may avoid the face-to-face assessment.

Good luck

Derek
