MP & ESA was created by Elizabeth

HI All, I wondered if anyone has had thier local MP involved with thier claim and what the result was? I have recently written to my MP to ask if there was any support he could offer me as I am awaiting tribunal. I received a letter back from him requesting I get in touch with my CAB Advisors to allow him permission to discuss my case with them. I also have sent a letter from my GP, again, to the ESA lot, as my GP is anything but pleased that they expect me to work when he is signing me off unfit. I wonder if it will all be a waste of time? Any opinions in this please?
Elizabeth :-)

We got our MP involved she did not need permission to get involved, she wrote directly to Chris Grayling, we had been waiting 19 months for an appeal date.
After also getting the local paper involved we had a date for double tribuneral within 3 weeks.

Good Luck :-)

some mps have contacts at the local council welfare office or CAB for them to talk with them about the claim you need to sign a form its different when MPs talk to the DWP or ministers

Using an MP where appropriate is useful not only to sort out your problem but to keep them aware of how things are for claimants

I wrote to my MP for help a few weeks ago. I am not sure if he acted because he never emailed back to me. Although, I had my claim for DLA reassessed in my favour. That could of course been because of new evidence from myself and my doctor, I just dont know.

I got my MP involved and it backfired in a spectacular way. My MP dropped me like a hot brick and ran for the hills.

It must have been my perfume 'odor le you-rine'. He just bought a new chesterfield for his office. I did warn him
