a result !!! a great big thank you first to this site ?? it has made all the difference to my claims by joining up and reading all the guides ......
ok now for more good news, yesterday i had my appeal heard....
i had 0 points from that joke atos doctor last September..... when i went into the board room i found the doctor and solicitor were great , very nice and polite . they thanked me for sending in all my medical records, doctors letters etc to them in advance . although all this medical evidence was dated after my atos medical, they said it gave them a good idea that i was ill before i had the medical !! ;) ..
they asked a few things like where i had parked the car etc , then told me to wait outside ( i was in for 15 mins ).
on calling me back in they said i had won B) B) !! they stated they got me up to 24 points just on 3 descriptors and then stopped !! they said i could have had even more points , but i only needed 15 ...
i have been placed in a work related group, but hey i aint worried at least i don't need sick notes anymore and the dwp owe me 41 weeks back pay
the point being to anyone going to a tribunal -- send in advance any forms , notes , letters you have about your health !! it does make a difference , even if its after your atos medical ..
i believe they had already made their mind up yo grant me the appeal before they even saw me !!! :P :)

Congratulations on winning your appeal.

Thank you for letting members know of your success, as it always gives hope and encouragement for others who are in the process of an appeal, or may need to lodge an appeal in future against an adverse benefit decision.

Hi malvernman

Well done for winning your appeal and thanks for letting us know.

Medical evidence obtained after the decision is valid at tribunals as long as it is based or sheds light on your condition at the time of the DWP decision.

Congratulations - so nice to hear a success story in this very unfair system. You are right the advice is so valuable. I have only been a member for a short while, but don't know where I would be without it. I have just sent in my appeal, and got my Doctor and MP involved. Fingers crossed I will be posting my success story. Very well done - go and celebrate - you deserve it! Feel sorry for those who haven't got the help. I have already passed on details of this forum to two people, we must keep informing those who don't know. Enjoy x
