Sending photo evidence?

Sending photo evidence? was created by Serenity
I have been told to claim dla by my GP. I have all the supporting evidence from him and therapist, but I am still unsure about claiming due to the horror stories and added stress to my conditions.

I won't list my conditions, but as a result of some of them I have self harmed badly, so have scars and current cuts on my arms. Would photo evidence of this help my application?

Photographic evidence is admissable and can show the the Tribunal your condition at that time.
It might be worth considering to continue taking them at set periods (say weekly) and submitting those you feel would enhance your appeal.

There is no reason why can't send these photos with your claim, but try to keep it relevant to your care needs as this will be what they are primarily looking at.

Have a look at our guides for claiming DLA if nothing else they will confirm you've completed the form as best you can, and they may offer some ideas to innclude.

A lot of people say that very few first time claimants for DLA are successful, but this simply is not the case, there is every reason to believe that a well presented claim based on your care needs will be successful.

I suggest a newspaper in the photograph to show that it isn't old.

there is a set way of doing photos for this type of use you sign each photo saying

date taken and that its not been "retouched" in anyway if posible you put a ruler in the photo so it can be scaled

you can also ask your dr to countersign that its a true likeness
