I wish we could give you a definitive answer but there seem to have already been so many exceptions to the rules, it is difficult to believe there are rules in the first place.

My best advice is to prepare yourself for the transfer by familiarising yourself with the process and the ESA medical tests using the guides in the Members area, and to try not to worry about it until it happens, which I know is much easier said than done.

As you are being transfered, it may be that you will be excused the medical as a result of your previous records.

A small percentage of claimants will be excused the medical as a result of their completing the ESA50 and the evidence they submit with it.

If you do have to have a medical, it may be possible to arrange for it to be held at your home. You will need your GPs assistance with this.

You can have someone with you at the medical, that in itself may seem daunting, but the support a friend or relative can provide should not be under-estimated.
