All this worry about our Benefits and allowances being stopped by the Government has really played havoc with my health/illness/complications. If my blood pressure goes up my eyes haemorrhage and I cannot see, I am blind in my other eye, had op. to try to repair damage but Surgeon advised that "Stress" was causing this problem.
I have countless other painful conditions that have, quite frankly gotten a lot worse this past year, all since learning my DLA and IS might stop, worrying about future, losing my home, my independence, etc, etc.
Anybody else find they are having the same probs. as I'm having because of all these changes that are about to happen, to all of us, unfortunately disabled, through No fault of their own may I add.

Ye lulu, i'm having similar problems, but I have mental health problems rather than physical problems. The stress is exacerbating my illness and is giving me symptoms of other mental illnesses which I am awaiting a pschyciatrist (can't spell it sorry) appointment for and i've often contemplated suicide.

It is a stressful time but we can ease that with forward planning. With the help of the guides on this site and experience of others I know that it will be far less stressful than not being prepared.

As a retired nurse stress can be a killer in certain circumstances.

Stress is probably at the heart of most problems you may experience throughout your life and includes a very large range of symptoms.

It is not possible to eliminate stress, but we certainly can learn to manage it without resorting to medication. The symptoms of stress are the feeling of being overwhelmed, being under pressure, or a feeling of being compelled to perform a certain way.

It is generated by our interpretation of a situation. For example, you may be under pressure to meet deadlines at work, whereas your colleague, an easygoing type, is not. External circumstances and your environment can both cause stress, but the worst type of stress is the type we put on ourselves. It is the most damaging.

Hi Lulu
Look at what Towser wrote, I know everything looks bad at the moment but he is giving good advice,I wish you luck and a positive out come.

Have you been informed your DLA and IS are to stop ?

If not, try not to worry about something that may not happen and it is making you unwell, wait until you have written confirmation. Then use B&W's guides to help.
Regards
