ESA APPEAL was created by SANDY
Hi everyone

I write this post as I am a carere for my husbacd who suffers with a personality disorder, depression, anxiety, COPD and low iron levels. He was turned down for ESA and I am appealing the decison as I think they have totally misunderstood the situation. The day that my hubby went for the medical he was riding high on a total change of medication and he talked 2 much. I know that My hubby thought he done well even to attend never mind talk.
I am currently reading through the docoments here on this site with the hope that he will receive ESA for another year but what happens if he is turned down again the thought of him having to do jobseekers and sign on every 2 weeks would be just a nightmare for him. I am at my tenders end. I work part time. :S
Think of me as i wait for appea date!!!!!

Hi Sandy,

Presumably your husband is on the assessment rate of ESA whilst he waits for his appeal to be heard. This is likely to take several months in itself.

All you can do is prepare as well as possible for the hearing and then see what happens.

Good luck,

Steve

I think this when we tick the box sometimes it is beneficial to tick varies.
Ability am can be different to pm or visa versa.
If you work part time have you considered working tax credit.Extra allowance is made regarding age and disability.Working Tax Credit will affect any housing benefit.
Disability with the inland revenue is different to the DWP. They look at a disadvantaged test.
Seek advice from CAB.
If you receive housing benefit consider discretionary housing payment.

Good luck

Thank u for your encouragement Towser. I am in contact at present with the CAB and they are reviewing all my hubbies papers to c if we have a valid claim.
i a work aprt time I earn over the threshold to get housing benefit/rate relief and can't get carers allowance as my earnin(low as they r) knock me out also. Its a never ending circle with lots of potholes along the way. Sometimes life doesn't throw a long enough life line.

Will keep all posted as to how I get on :( :S
