Derek,
Thank you for clarifying all these important points for me. I have done so well because of this site and all the PREPARATION. I know that it is so important and it has actually made me a little bit calmer about things.

I must also send a letter of thanks to my MP. They did contact Atos and I'm sure they also influenced the outcome.

With gratitude,
cmarie

Andy,

You are one of the most informed and informative people on here and I always hope you might see my questions/concerns because you have helped me enormously.

I am going to copy your statement to me and re-read it. I have my mantra: I will be helped, I will be helped...but additionally, I unfailingly go back to the points you have made regarding this PROCESS of applying for help.

Bro58, Lisa, CrazyDiamond, Derek, Gordon and you, have repeatedly helped me and I am actually crying now just thinking about it. The generosity of the people on this site is rarely matched in my day to day life.

I am so grateful.

I emailed my MP who is Bob Ainsworth. Grant,he sent me a letter within two days of contact, but said he could not do anything and just stapled a leaflet to the letter! My medical is 12th Aug. Maybe I should have waited for the appeal date, because from what I have read on here,no doubt I will have to go down that dreaded route. I see it as,if he is going to have that attitude now, then what chance do I have on appeal?

Juliette,

It is entirely up to you, but I wouldn't let Ainsworth off the hook that easy.

I think some of these M.P.'s forget, the "Master and Servant" process, they are the servant, there to represent, on behalf of their constituents.

Also with parliament being in recess, M.P.'s have more time than usual, to be active on a local level.

In fact one of them was stating this last week.

cheers

Hello,

I've now got the GL24 which I will fill in today.

Could anyone tell me if, after receipt of my form, what rate do they pay you at? Will they continue with the WRAG-rate that I have now been given?

Thanks again,
cmarie
