New to the Site, well my Husband is, and he says good luck :)

His Brown envelope is on its way.

He has already spoken to several orgs about ESA and they all same the same - he is not fit for work - even REMPLOY said it, he scores over 120 pnts - their scores not his (the pre April 2011 test scored him with 200+, how the times change). We are certain the DWP and Atos will say different though, and the wheels will start turning for him.

Are you returning your ESA50 straight away or waiting until near end of 6 weeks?

Hi Graham, I Intend to send one file to the DWP DM, over the coming days, this file contains evidence, letters of support, and states regs and criteria as to what group I feel I shouls be in.

Then when I receive my ESA50 in a few weeks, I have one prepared and ready to post, however will not post back to ATOS until just before the deadline.

At the same time I will post the same ESA50 to the DM.

I feel that if I posted my completed ESA50 and other evidence to the DM now, they could hand the ESA50 over to ATOS, and this could speed the whole process up by upto 8 weeks.

Please remember, the way I am going about this is my own choice.

Read this thread below, it gives a lot of pros and cons as to the way things can be done. (click on link)

You can then make up your own mind.

Hi bro58 - good luck with your Esa50 form and extra information for the decision maker :)
Can I ask you, do you send both items to the same place, or how do you know where the decision maker is?

Thanks, S3,

The ESA50 qustionnaire, must be sent back to ATOS, in the envelope they provide, before the deadline date they give you. (With any extra evidence that you may have)

If you also want to send the ESA50 + evidence to the DWP Decision Maker, (DM), dealing with your claim, he will be based at your local benefits office, (BDC).

Their address will be on any letters that you have from the DWP, regarding your benefits, such as the first letter that you receive telling you that your benefit is about to change, I.B.to ESA, letter.

cheers
