Thanks for those numbers

I have searched my truecall call log and none of those numbers come up.

This means no calls from those numbers I do have several calls which are from wirthheld or unavailable numbers were the callers hang up and looks like this:

15/06/2011 23:24 Incoming Unrecognised Caller - Hung up at Shield 00:00:05 WITHHELD

17/06/2011 17:40 Incoming Unrecognised caller - wrong breakthrough key 00:00:32 UNAVAILABLE

Basicly any call without a caller ID is screened by truecall. It plays them a recorded message asking them if they are a family, friend or invited caller to press a key if not hang up and dont call again.....If they dont press the right key then the call is eneded.

The DWP have phoned me loads of time about IB and IS they always manage to get through ... so why not ESA?

Good Question MUK,

I would definately follow up on this as well as on other fronts.

There may of course be other numbers they use but those are the only ones that I am aware of at present.

cheers

I don't kmow if this is relevant, but my impression, based on comments here and in other forums, is that the phone calls are managed from one, central location, which is seperate from the BDC teams actually handling a claimants transfer.

They also seem to be using call generation software, which means that a computer dials the number, and when there is a pickup, transfers the call to an agent. The number used for this system is usually witheld as there is effectively no one there to answer.

MUK,

Just had a look at my migration letter, IB to ESA, "The Benefit You Receive is About to Change",

I beleive you had this initial letter, if you read the last paragraph of the first page, it states, :

"The number we will call you on is xxxx xxx xxx. If you haven't heard from us within two weeks of the date of this letter, or if the number we have is not correct, please call us on the number above".

So be prepared, if they throw that one back at you, obviously, I don't know as to any limitations that you may have in using the phone.

cheers

If they call from a withheld, unavailable or international number the call is blocked and they wont get through unless they press the break through key.

The ESA50 was signed for today (03/08/11) posted on 01/08/11.

I rang Hyde BC about it they said it will take them a week to look at the ESA form and make a decision based on the form. If I've not heared back in a week to call Hyde BC again they can chase it up.

They said they not due to take over from IB untill the 18th Aug which is when my last IB payment is due.
