Waiting for Tribunal was created by nicurro
Hi , i applied for increase in DLA last year , after two refusals i advised them i wish to go to Tribunal , February this year i was told that the hearing may be in September but not definite.
Should it take this long ?
Is there anyway of getting a definite date?
Is it worth getting my MP involved as the original claim was submitted May 2010.

Just getting fed up with waiting .

Any advice gratefully received.

The average waiting time for a Tribunal is about 9-12 from submitting the GL24 form, although there is some regional variation.

Involving your MP can do no harm and may result in your claim being prioritised.

Hi, thanks for that. Is their a specific person my MP can contact as i will be seeing them tomorrow.
Also , since my operation in February i have seen no improvement in my condition , i see a physiotherapist regularly and my consultant about every 6 weeks.
I am now reliant on using a walking stick / crutches to support me when walking outdoors , this i have not told DWP about as i was waiting for the Tribunal.
Would this make a difference to my claim if i told them now ?
I also suffer with vibrations going up my spine into my neck , these started after my OP .
I am so fed up with the DWP and thought the tribunal would have happened by now.
I qualified for ESA and passed the ATOS medical first time which surprised me but i am now trying to complete the Medical form i have just been sent .

Thanks

Your MP needs to contact the Tribunal Service, they should know who would be appropriate in the TS.

You can provide additional evidence and submissions to the Tribunal Service, the only rule is that the conditions you are referring to must have been in effect at the time that the last Decision was made by the DWP.

Any new condition or change to an existing condition that ocurred after the date of the Decision you appealed can not be considered by a Tribunal.

Hope this explains it.
