Did you walk a long way from the car park to the examining room at the medical without explaining how much discomfort you were in? That's just one of many ways in which people that can't walk far find themselves deemed to be able to walk further than they can.

Anyway, time to catch your breath, and when you're ready, sit down with our guides to appealing. If you're confident that you're eligible, don't give up.

Hi paul,

The thing you need to find out is, on what contradictory evidence they have based their decision.

Have you had an ATOS assessment recently, for another benefit?.

Have you wtitten something contradictory on your form?.

Have they obtained contradictory evidence from your G.P., or other HCP that cares for you?.

This will be your starting point, don't forget if you wish to appeal, you need to submit a GL24 form, you have to do this within a month of notification of the adverse decision.

good luck.
