EMPLOYMEN & SUPPORT ALLOWANCE ASSESSMENT

Hi can anyone help me please, I have just received a letter from DWP saying they are going to phone me within 2wks of this letter asking me questions before sending out some form to be assessed for ESA and if I need to attend for medical.

I am so worried after hearing and reading about all the horror stories, I have been on DLA since 2006 and IB since 2006/2007 due to my arthritis in spine amongst other illnesses. Will they be allowed to stop my getting correct benefits due to my health... any or all help will be gratefully appreciated as I am scared of saying wrong things or being taken wrong way from whoever phones me....

Hi,

The phone call you refer to is standard procedure, and is meant to put the claimant at ease.

You will then receive the ESA50 Questionnaire within around a fortnight after this.

In fact you do not even have to answer the phone call, as the process will procede anyway.

Have a look in the orange Members Only section on the left, ESA guides, then come back to us if you have any queries.
