Flying was created by quietlightning
I will be flying in two weeks time to go and see the family, my husband is travelling with me, we have booked seats with extra leg room and I wrote to the airline for assistance and they confirmed in writing, my question is is there anything else I should do? By the way when I travel I carry with me my pillow for my back and neck collar.

Thanks Bro58
have had a quick read but I will show my husband later as he is the one that helps me with these things.
I didn't realise that you had to inform DWP if you were going abroad, its only 2 weeks I am going to be away.

If you go away from your home address for any reason, you are obliged in accordance with the instructions for benefits such as IB, IS on the grounds of disability and ESA, to let the DWP know immediately where you can be found?

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

The thing about holidays is that I didn't know that you had to tell them until I read it on this forum. Is it widely known or was it just me? I know ignorance is no defence but I don't recall receiving anything from them to tell me (but I could be mistaken). All I remember is handing in sicks lines and them sending me a letter saying I would get the ESA in the assessment period and then they sent me the ESA form and when I passed they sent me another letter saying the rate had gone up because I passed. Just as well I am not able to go on holiday, or to afford it either!
