Advice please, should I fill in a claim pack? was created by coffeebeankat simmons
Hi all i have been a member for a while now but never made any posts. I would like some advice please, I have a back injury which happened 5 years ago this month and after injections into my spine for pain releif and all failing i seem now to be reliant on Conrolled drugs for pain releif which i now depend on to be able to have some quality of life. However they are beoming less afective and have also started to affect my ability to concentrate and even spell ect. I have pain all the time and even with pain relief here are really unbearable days. Would this be a reason to try for a claim?

many thanks kat

You don't say what benefit you wish to claim, but assuming it is DLA you may have nothing to lose and everything to gain by completing a DLA claim form?

Have a look at the guides on this site taking into consideration both physical and mental health conditions.
I feel that when we consider ourselves to be physically impaired we fail to see the mental consequence's.
Advice on a one to one is advisable.

Hi,

As CD says you have nothing to lose by making a claim.

Don't forget it is the limitations that you suffer, or needs that you have, as a result of your conditions, not the condition itself.

This would also include limitations caused by any medication that you need to take.

Have a look in the "MEMBERS ONLY" orange section on the left.

Then if you have any questions come back to us.

cheers

You can make a claim by using the link entitled Apply for Disability Living Allowance.

You can complete the claim form by using the guides in the DLA resources.
