GP Visits was created by RachelPotter
Hi, I'm getting really scared.

Just one question. Does it matter how long ago I saw the GP, before I go to my ESA assessment.

I've been twice in the last 6 weeks and in my head, I think if I go now the powers that be will say it's because of the impending medical.

I do need to go soon for a couple of things but am getting paranoid!

Best wishes,
Rachel

Hi Rachel,

The only advice that I could offer, would be that you are entitled to visit your G.P. as much as necessary regarding your medical conditions.

Besides, it would be perfectly reasonable for you to seek added support from your G.P., if you were feeling anxious re your WCA.

hope this helps

Thanks bro.

Am unlikely to mention my WCA as it is surgery policy not to write supporting letters.

But I will do my best to go for a routine appointment.

Best wishes,
Rachel

Hi Rachel
Its so awful isnt it.I needed to go to the GP but put it off because i did not want to a burden and didnt want it to look like i was just going for the benefits. I am yet to be transfered so didnt want it to look like that was only reason in going. However at my weekly counsellor session last week the cousellor insisted and made me an appointment. I have additional problems alongside mental health. The GP was so nice am also waiting on an op. All I can say is dont be scared, they are there to help, do what is best for you and try not to fear, you are as worthy as anymore is in having a gp appointmnet, regardless of how they are making us feel. Lots of best wishes and a hug to you
Carole :)
