Sorry guys, but the reference in question is to claimants appealling after they failed the ESA medical, not where they are appealing to be placed in the Support Group.

It does say 'whilst appealing', which includes claimants appealing on the grounds that they qualify for the support group.

The curious thing about this document is that it has no introduction stating it's purpose, who it's for, who wrote it or who's answering the questions!

Rachel, the clause at the end is standard and appears on many DWP leaflets. It just means that the document is not a full statement of law.
