Hi

Yes,the wait has been 15 months!!!! It was scheduled for April this year,I struggled to the tribunal with the help of a friend who had taken time off work to be told that the Doctor had been called away so all appeals were then cancelled for the day.No one had attempted to contact me at all.Rang the head office to complain but they couldnt have cared less.

HI Doris

i had written that I only drove short distances,Dr.queried why didn't I drive long distances, explained it would be too uncomfortable for me and I have no need or desire to drive long distances,he asked me to explain further and I replied that my arthritis in knees and lower back make sitting painfull and I also stiffen up.To this he just pulled a face and then asked if I informed the DVLA.

Ok, that makes sense. It appears it was a relevant question from the Doctors point of view to help him come to a conclusion.

The Doctors will pick up on driving. Its a 'one size fits all' question that (rightly or wrongly) they will use to determine their decision. I knew someone who failed a tribunal on a small discrepancy regarding driving. It was noted on the statement of reasons .

I was asked at a tribunal if I hold a driving licence (not whether I actually drive), which I do.

It was not mentioned in the statement of reasons and I cannot even begin to imagine what relevance it had, or why I was even asked.
