Aids Adaptations and simple meals questions was created by pink*lupins
Hi
Got a copy of the DLA doctors report after being given HRM and no care following his visit.

The report was actually quite good and was very supportive of my mobility needs.

He even diagnosed a condition I have which the doctors have never put a name to and added it to the list!!!!

However, on the care side it said I could manage everything with aids and adaptations such as a perching stool, commode, bed rail etc etc

Is this the usual response for not awarding the care componant?

It also said I could manange cooking a simple meal for one.

What would be the definition of a simple meal for one?

Any thoughts/experiences would be helpful.

Thanks

If you have a look at the Claiming DLA on Physical Grounds these points are discussed in more detail.

Aids and adaptions are discussed in page 17 and the cooking test is on page 41.
