Well It's been less then a month since I was told I had been put into the WRAG and today a letter from my local job centre turned up with an appointment for this Monday. Only 4 days notice which I think is a bit much.

I'm in a lot of pelvic pain and I was wondering If I should ring them and ask for it to be conducted over the phone, but then maybe I should attend the first one, and then ask? I don't know what to do really. I'm scared as to what they're going to force me to do training wise as I'm not up to much traveling. :(

There's no reason why you shouldn't ask for it to be conducted over the phone if your pain is an obstacle to attending at the office.

When you have your interview, whether in the office or on the phone, you may like to stress any reasonable adjustments you require under the Equalities Act 2010 to any work related activity they tell you to engage in.

Hi JM,

I would do exactly as Survivor advises, and see whether you can get the backing of your G.P.

cheers

Well I've rung them just now and they're going to ring me back and let me know as the person in question is out of the office right now.

Well see what they say.

Ironically I'd just come back from a trip from GP about all of this and she had no idea that people had to attend these things. She seemed really confused about the whole idea. I know she would back me up on what my health problems are, but as there's only one more day before the weekend I'm running out of time to sort matters out really.

Hi JM,

You could complain regarding the short notice given.

If your G.P. will back you this may help in deferring any future WFI's or WRA.

cheers
