Went to see my GP today and told him about the form ect. Said he had not seen the form yet and will write me a letter to send with it. I have to fill the form in and then see him next week for a double appointment to go through it. Should I just rough out what I intend to say and take it with the form or do you think he will want me to have completed the form and signed it?
Incidently, when I explained the form states - medical reports from your doctor would be useful in providing enough information to prevent a medical- he was cross. He said 'they are policing us and our decisions but are then throwing the ball back into our court'
Thanks for your help

Are you talking about the ESA50? I have mine to fill in and I'm waiting on a consultants letter and a letter from my GP. I doubt how helpful this will be to me as they don't live with me and don't know the struggles I have, they are usually only interested in what I go to see them for, not all the other things. My ESA50 doesn't say a doctor's letter will stop a medical so I'm wondering if you have a different form?

This form btw is so small and only 20 pages long, and the envelope they've sent to return it in is so small I'm not sure I can get everything in it.

Hi Cracker

Without commenting on the doctors attitude; it's impossible to prejudge your GP. I would ask if you can complete it in rough form initially and say that you've done this in order to make sure its completeled correctly eventually.

Hi Silvershadow,

Yes! Mine is an ESA50 03/11. Look at the paragraph on the first page under the heading: Please send the questionnaire back by the date on the enclosed letter

Take care

Yeah, same as mine although mine says if I have any medical reports I think they should see to send them in but it doesn't say it will stop a medical :-) Not due back till Nov 2nd. Bugging me sitting there. Have to get their 20 pages in + a furthern pages. Maybe I'll have to send back in a bigger envelope. Hateful process.
