Hi,

Whilst we cannot answer claim specific queries (please see the FAQ's at the side of the forum) we can only really advise that DLA is paid depending on ones mobility and/or care needs. Any diagnosis is really only of secondary value.

If you look in the members area (on the left) under DLA resources, it should be able to give you an idea of what the DWP will look into in deciding a DLA claim.

Pete

regadless of the medical condition "Chronic" is a term used to show its been going on for a long time and depending on the health problem and the dr this could be different length of time

so two people with a health prolem might get told its chronic after a differnt period in time your own dr decides

this has nothing to do with how much it hurts or any other symptom

severe is how much

A chronic disease is a disease or other human health condition that is persistent or long-lasting in nature. The term chronic is usually applied when the course of the disease lasts for more than three months. Common chronic diseases include MS, asthma, cancer, diabetes and HIV/AIDS.

In medicine, the opposite of chronic is acute. A chronic course is further distinguished from a recurrent course; recurrent diseases relapse repeatedly, with periods of remission in between.
