Is 'No news good news'? was created by Moonshine
I wonder if anyone can help me? Last year (2010) I won my appeal and was placed in the support group. In July this year I recieved a letter with the new ESA form enclosed. I returned the form on the 10th of August after filling it in with the help of this site and a letter from my GP. Since then I have been waiting for a response and have heard nothing. Every time I hear the postman or my phone rings, I feel sick. Is it normal for a reply to take so long to tell me whether I have to go in for a medical or not. Not knowing is making my health suffer and I can't sleep at night. Any help would be much appreciated.

hi mooonshine im in a simlair situation and wondering the same thing, unlike you i lost my appeal however. last year it took 2 weeks after sending the esa50 to get a letter from atos and i was in the medical room 2 weeks after that. this time i sent some evidence which i didnt do the first time and filled in the questinoaire more thoroughly, and its been a month now and nothing, but for you at 2 months no wonder youre anxious. im wondering if they're contacting my gp for the questionnaire they ask them to fill in. or maybe just taking some time to read it all as i sent quite a few sheets. I would love to not have to go to another interrogation but trying not to get my hopes up.

This happened to me at the begining of the year. I was placed in the support group after appealing. They didnt even call me up for a medical. But,i never heard anything from them. Its only because i received a small cheque from the dwp that i rang to find out why. They then told me i'd been placed in the support group. If i hadnt rung them i still wouldnt know till this day as i still never received a letter nor phone call from them. It may be worth rining them.

I'n afraid the only way to find out what is going on is for you to contact your local DWP office.

Good luck

Hi,

When you say contact your local DWP office, is that the Job Centre Plus office?

Your local office is the one referenced on any letter from the DWP, it is usually in the form city BDC, for example; Manchester BDC.

It is not your local JCP office, should you have one.
