All I can suggest is that you contact your local DWP office for an update.

You should also receive confirmation of your award in writing from a DWP Decision Maker, even if you've had a 'phone call informing you your DLA claim/renewal has been successful.

If you've not received this with within about 7-10 days, then call the DLA on 08457 123456 and ask for a written decision.

Hi Karim

DLA decisions are notified in writing, in my experience its unsusual to get a phone call telling you have been awarded DLA. (If this is the benefit you are referring to).

Our moderators have previously advised that you can call DLA unit 08457 123456 & request the written decision is sent. You may wish to enquire about the date you were awarded and if and when they sent the decison out.

Referring back to one of earlier posts, it would appear you may have problems going out. While in this post you say you are going on a short break with your son.

Although we do not know whether you are getting DLA Mobility component or not, you should be careful that the short break does not affect your claim for DLA Mobility Allowance, (if awarded).

Please refer to B&W Members Only guides in the orange section, or consult a Welfare Rights Officer, at an Advice Centre, for further information.

Kind regards

Michael

I was to be at the ESA medical today but the taxi didn't turn up making it impossible to get there. When I phoned the medical centre to explain they said to phone ATOS as they have a later available appointment. The also said they were a doctor short due to sickness. phoning ATOS they phoned the medical centre to make an appointment for me. Then phoned me back saying I would have to be re booked next week as there was a doctor ill and weren't taking anymore bookings for this week. I'll be up for it next week and it'll give me more time to read over the wonderful advice on this site.
