Beware! was created by MattyB
I am being "migrated" to ESA from long term IB. When I received my last bank statement I discovered that two of my last payments of IB were missing. I immediately phoned the DWP Benefit Delivery Centre and someone looked into it for me. She said that the same thing has happened with some other people who are being migrated. She arranged for someone in the payments section to ring me back, the missing money was sent to my account and the DWP assistant apologised for all the stress. I would advise anyone who is similarly in the position of being migrated, to take particular notice of their payments.

Matty, thanks for the warning, but one question - how far through the migration "journey" (I do hate that phrase!) have you got?

For the misnomer "journey" substitute the word "ordeal!"

I notice that my normal IB payment didn't go in as normal 5weeks ago, I phoned up and asked why it wasn't paid/ had it been stopped for some reason? The lady told me that there wasn't anything on file and that she would get someone to phone me within 3 hours.
I got the phone call within the time stated from my local JobcenterPuss and was told that my IB hadn't been paid due to a technical error and that it would be paid, it was paid a week late!

Oddly enough the day after the phone call from Jobcenterplus I received the letter telling me that I was to be assessed for ESA, coincidence or are the two events linked? :(

Or how about "trek" ... an arduous long journey through hostile territory.

Hi Carruthers,

When the errors occurred, I had already had my assessment and been told I would be placed in the Support Group but I hadn't actually started ESA and was still receiving IB. There was a gap of about six weeks between receiving the good news of the Support Group and actually "going live" into it (as the DWP advisor called it!!). It was two of those three (fortnightly) payments of IB within the six weeks that went missing.

Best wishes,

MattyB
