Remunerative work

Hi all,

First time posting so apologies if my question is not suitable for this forum
But here goes....... I am expecting to receive my ESA forms for me to be
Migrated from IB to ESa, I am exempt from any WCA as I receive high rate
Care and mobility dla which I know does not apply to the new rules for
ESA...... But my question is this.....I have a letter from my doc to say I am
Not fit for any remunerative work so when I do receive my ESA forms and
Return them would I be expected to go automatically in the support group?
The letter from my doc was from some years ago when I was medically retired

May be what I am thinking is that once I have submitted my ESA forms with supporting evidence including my gp letter saying I am not fit for work, then surely this can not be over ruled so was wandering has any one else been in a similar situation and what their experience was. Thanks.

Unfortunately, the DWP/Atos frequently overrule GPs medical statements which declare patients unfit for work. Furthermore, the DWP on the advice of Atos can overturn their previous decisions in which they decide a claimant is incapable of work, have limited capability for work or limited capability for work-related activity, by superseding the subsisting favourable decision, and replace it with an adverse decision which finds a claimant fit for work.
